After spending twenty-seven years with Hall of Fame coaches Bob Devaney and Tom Osborne, I have learned most of the tricks of the trade in college recruiting. We can put this knowledge to work for you to help you find the right school.
College Football is a huge revenue producer for most athletic departments and as such, has become a very "big business." Recruiting is the vehicle that drives the "big business." It is very easy for you and your parents to get swallowed up in the recruiting process. Most student-athletes don't even know how to get the recruiting process started and by the time they find out, it is too late.
ACC will educate you and your parents on the inner workings of college football recruiting, help you gather the information that coaches use to evaluate recruits and get that information in front of coaches.
College Football coaches work an average of seventy-five hours a week and are constantly searching for new ways to save time in recruiting. Something as simple as getting a prospect's videotape could take weeks.
ACC provides the college coaches with every piece of information they need to evaluate you, including videotape. All of this is available to them at the click of a button.
Consider These Facts:
(254,000*) - Number of graduating high school seniors every year who play football
(5,042) - Approximate number of football scholarships awarded each year by Division I and II programs to incoming freshmen
(1 in 50) - Your chances of receiving a football scholarship
How are you going to separate yourself from the 1,014,075* high school football players who are competing for the same limited number of scholarships?
Director of Football
The answer is American College Connection and our Director of Football, John Melton, who will be coordinating your recruiting plan. Coach Melton has thirty-three years of coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate level, five years at the University of Wyoming and twenty-seven years at the University of Nebraska. He has two National Titles to his credit as the linebacker coach at Nebraska.
Coach Melton has worked side by side with coaching legends Bob Devaney (sixteen years) and Tom Osborne (eleven years) and has personally coached and recruited Barry Alvarez, Head Coach at the University of Wisconsin, Baltimore Colt great, Trev Alberts and Hall of Famer, Roger Craig. John Melton brings a wealth of inside knowledge of college football that very few coaches possess.
